Originally from Prospect Heights, Illinois, a small suburb outside of Chicago. I attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The Lee Strasburg Theatre Institute and U.C.L.A. I've made the West Coast home for 40 years and now reside in the Palm Springs area.Throughout my travels all around the world I've found the language may be different, but the stories are the same.
I was involved in the business management end of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles for many years. Writing for television and short stories was my passion before I ventured into the back end of the business or as many call it, the dark side. I decided after encouragement from clients and receiving interest from members of the industry to return to writing. I hope you enjoy the results.
If you're not laughing why bother having a pulse? Humor, with a bit of sarcasm and a touch of outlandish behavior is the eighth wonder of the world. There's a story everywhere you look and telling them is what I try to do.
A favorite post I found, and one of the reasons creating a character can be so fulfilling:
I read a book that blew my mind. The main character goes crazy when he realizes no one really knows him. The gist is that the person you think of as "yourself" exists only for you, and even you don't really know who that is. Every person you meet, have a relationship with or make eye contact on the street with, creates a version of "you" in their heads. You're not the same person to your mom, your dad, your siblings, than you are to your co workers, your neighbors or friends. There are a thousand different versions of yourself out there in peoples minds. A "you" exists in each version.
